Hello, Friends π
I want to introduce interesting exhibition at Lotte World Mall.
Lotte World has already famous to foreigners including Lotte World tower. π
Lotte World Mall is connected to Lotte World tower and there are several pop-up stores or activities in arena plaza.
I visited Tiffany & Co's exhibition. You can also book on-site or book via Naver app.
This exhibition has held from 2025-11-01 to 2025-12-28, 10:30 AM ~ 20:00 PM.
Behind the Blue Box: My Visit to the Tiffany Exhibition.π
The first chapter is ' Love of Legacy'. I saw their history, heritage via film.
Founded in 1837 in New York by Charles Lewis Tiffany. The brand’s signature color, Tiffany Blue (PMS 1837), and the blue box with white ribbon became global icons.
In 1886, Tiffany introduced the modern solitaire standard: the Tiffany Setting diamond ring, which helped define the engagement ring as we know it.
Through Art Deco and modern eras, Tiffany became known for masterful jewelry, silverwork, and nature motifs (birds, botanicals). “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” cemented its pop-culture status, and the high jewelry “Blue Book” tradition continues in contemporary form.π
This necklace with the green gemstone set in gold—like the one above—dates back to the 1800s. Apparently, a Spanish queen wore it. What really surprised me is how it still looks so chic today, not dated at all. π
And the diamond ring famous for the Tiffany Setting—it’s still a go-to for proposals and wedding bands. The design stays super popular even now.
Tiffany’s designers took inspiration from nature—birds, flowers, fruit—and turned those motifs into fresh jewelry designs. It’s kind of amazing to think they were doing that back then. There were so many unique pieces that I honestly couldn’t take my eyes off them.
The highlight of the exhibition for me was “Bird on a Rock,” with a bird design perched on diamond or aquamarine. I first read about it in the newspaper and that’s what got me interested in the show—but in person it was smaller than I expected. There are multiple versions, and the largest one is apparently kept at Tiffany’s headquarters.
The last chapter is 'Love of Expression'. I could have seen previous Tiffany's posters.
It can be acknowledged the meaning of love.I felt the meaning of love, their heritage and unique ideas though this exhibition has been closed. It was a great opportunity to learn about their heritage, concepts, and ideas.
Why not attend this as like unique pop-up event in Jamsil?
- Subway: Line 2, Jamsil Station → use Exits 1 or 2 and follow the indoor passage to “Lotte World Mall / Lotte World Tower.” It’s fully connected, so you’re weather-safe Line 8, Jamsil Station → also directly connected to the mall underground.
- Map keywords: “Lotte World Mall” or “Lotte World Tower.”
I'm also looking forward to other upcoming events.π
