Discovering Seosulla-gil: A Charming Walk Through Seoul's Retro Streets

I want to introduce Seosulla-gil which uniqu mood spot. Today my sibling and I explored Seosulla-gil, and we were charmed by its unique vibe and amazing cafés and restaurants. It struck me that this would be the perfect spot for dinner after visiting Jongmyo Shrine earlier in the day. 😍😍

How to Get to Seosulla-gil

By Subway (Recommended)

The easiest way to reach Seosulla-gil is by taking the subway to Seodaemun Station (Line 5, Exit 5). From the exit, it's about a 5-minute walk to the area. Simply head towards Yonsei University, and you'll find the charming alleyways of Seosulla-gil along the way.

Alternatively, you can also use Sinchon Station (Line 2, Exit 3), which is about a 10-minute walk from Seosulla-gil. This route takes you through the lively Sinchon area before reaching the quieter, more nostalgic streets.

By Bus

Several local buses stop near Seodaemun Station and Yonsei University. Look for buses heading to the Sinchon or Seodaemun area, and get off at stops near Yonsei University's main gate.

Tip: The area is quite walkable and perfect for exploring on foot, so wear comfortable shoes and take your time wandering through the narrow lanes filled with cafés, vintage shops, and hidden gems!

 

 It was a bit hot, but the weather was so beautiful that I knew any photos taken along the fortress wall path would turn out great. As you can see in the photos, there are plenty of restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy your meal. 🍵🍵🍵

 You can enjoy drinks at cafés designed like traditional hanok houses, or sit in spaces that resemble daecheong maru (traditional wooden porches) while sipping wine. I heard that when evening comes, the area transforms into an even more romantic atmosphere with beautiful lighting.

There are also shops selling vintage clothing and accessories, so it's fun to browse around and discover unique finds. 😎😎

 If you're looking for a break from Seoul's bustling tourist spots, Seosulla-gil is the perfect hidden gem to explore. Whether you're into vintage shopping, cozy cafés, or simply soaking in the nostalgic atmosphere, this charming street has something for everyone.
