Ashley is one of Korea's most beloved buffet chains, and this particular branch is super convenient to get to — just a short walk from the subway station, right in the heart of one of Seoul's busiest shopping hubs. Whether you're craving Korean classics like japchae and kimchi, or you're in the mood for pasta, pizza, salads, and desserts, Ashley has it all under one roof. And the best part? • Head to Exit 5. This is the closest and most convenient exit for NC Department Store Gangnam Branch 1 (뉴코아 강남 1관).

• Once you're out of the exit, just walk straight for about 2–3 minutes, and you'll see the NC Department Store building right in front of you. You literally can't miss it.

• Go inside and head up to the restaurant floor (usually on one of the upper floors — just check the building directory near the elevators, or follow the signs for Ashley Queens 애슐리퀸즈).

• Google Maps doesn't work super well in Korea for walking directions, so I'd recommend downloading Naver Map or Kakao Map before you go. They're free and way more accurate here.

From there, I head over to the Chinese section (중식) — noodles in savory black bean sauce — and tangsuyuk (탕수육), that irresistible sweet and sour crispy pork. Next up is the Korean section (한식), where you can dig into hearty favorites like japchae, and all the tasty banchan (side dishes) that make Korean meals so fun. And finally, save some room for the Korean street food section (분식) — this is where the magic happens! 🌶️ Think spicy-sweet tteokbokki (떡볶이), and crispy fried (튀김).  And here's the really surprising part — it's not just all the rich, savory stuff! You can also enjoy a wide variety of sushi and rolls 🍣, which is honestly such a nice touch. Who would've thought a value buffet would have this kind of range, right?

 

 

 Last but definitely not least — we can't skip the dessert section! 😍 Ashley has so much more than just fruits and salads — there's a whole spread of sweet cakes and cookies to choose from, and honestly, it's dangerous how good they are. 🍪

This time, since it's melon season 🍈, they had a special melon cake as a seasonal dessert, along with a melon fondue on the side — how cute is that?! It felt like such a fun little treat, and the flavor was so fresh and summery.

Oh, and here's my favorite part — you can make your own fresh waffles using the waffle machine right there! 🧇 Just pour, wait a minute, and boom — a warm, crispy waffle is ready to be loaded up with all kinds of toppings like syrup, whipped cream, fruits, and chocolate. It's basically dessert heaven. 😋

 From the mains all the way to dessert, it was seriously one of those days where I left the restaurant feeling sooo full and happy. 😋 The price varies a little between weekdays and weekends, but on average, you're looking at somewhere between ₩20,000 – ₩30,000 per person (roughly $15 – $22 USD) — which, for this much variety and quality, is honestly such a steal. 💰
